Our Journey

2007

Garrick Hunsaker founded Hunsaker Exteriors, specializing in stucco and adhered masonry. His on-site experience inspired a better, faster way to install thin brick. Old Mill Brick was created.

2009

Old Mill Brick was founded with a mission to simplify authentic brick installation. The first Panel+ Wall System launched, combining insulation, moisture protection, and precision alignment in one solution.

2011

Old Mill introduced Brickwebb®, the patented mesh-mounted thin brick system that let installers and DIYers place twelve real bricks at once—transforming how thin brick is installed.

 

2023

To serve a broader market, Old Mill Brick rebranded as Old Mill Building Products, uniting three brands—Old Mill Brick, Old Mill Systems, and Old Mill Accents—under one mission: make real materials easier to build with.

Our History

Installation is in our DNA

Old Mill Building Products began with one installer’s determination to make real materials easier to build with.

In 2006, Garrick Hunsaker, drawing on generations of family experience in siding and stucco, founded Hunsaker Exteriors. His deep knowledge of insulation codes, moisture control, and adhered masonry led him to experiment with faster, more reliable ways to install thin brick and stone.

Seeing the untapped potential of thin-brick systems, Garrick launched Old Mill Brick in 2009 with a simple mission: create products that deliver authentic beauty, long-term performance, and simplified installation.

That same year, Old Mill introduced its first breakthrough—the Panel+ Wall System—engineered after years of testing and rebuilding every major wall assembly on the market. Panel+ combined continuous insulation, precise alignment channels, and air-water management into one code-tested solution, saving contractors time while improving energy efficiency.

In 2011 came another innovation: Brickwebb®, a patented mesh-mounted thin-brick system that allowed installers and DIYers alike to place up to twelve real bricks at once. By re-imagining the old “brick-by-brick” process, Brickwebb turned professional masonry results into an achievable weekend project.

After more than a decade of growth and proven performance across residential and commercial projects, the company expanded its vision. In 2023, Old Mill Brick became Old Mill Building Products—an evolution that united three complementary brands under one purpose:

  • Old Mill Brick – Real kiln-fired clay brick and the patented Brickwebb® system

  • Old Mill Systems – Advanced wall assemblies featuring Panel+, Weather Barrier, and engineered adhesives

  • Old Mill Accents – Architectural stone and tile finishes that complete the look

Today, Old Mill Building Products continues to embody its core values of innovation, sustainability, and design flexibility. From the first thin-brick panel to modern continuous-insulation systems, every product reflects our founder’s original commitment: make construction smarter, faster, and authentically beautiful.
